We are a dedicated group of individuals who are passionate about empowering local leaders to create sustainable futures through innovative, community-driven solutions.

Michael has extensive experience in Christian mission and executive leadership. He is well known for his impactful work with the Bible Society, both in Australia and internationally, and has served in significant roles at board and executive levels across the non-profit sector. With advanced degrees in business principles and business practice, Michael is deeply passionate about business excellence and believes that mission work should be carried out with professionalism and purpose.

Michael Chant

Board Chair / Treasurer

Phil provides vision, strategic leadership and partnership oversight to  1000 Voices. He has worked with many organisations and individuals to clarify vision, align strategy and navigate meaningful change. Phil brings diverse leadership experience across education, church leadership, board governance, and as CEO of a South Australian disability NGO. He is passionate about investing in people, honouring local perspectives and strengthening leaders to shape resilient, sustainable futures.

Executive Officer

Phil provides vision, strategic leadership and partnership oversight to 1000 Voices. He has worked with many organisations and individuals to clarify vision, align strategy and navigate meaningful change. Phil brings diverse leadership experience across education, church leadership, board governance, and as CEO of a South Australian disability NGO. Elly holds a double degree in International Development and Environmental Policy and Management, and currently works for a global development organisation as a Graduate – Markets, Clients and Strategy. She brings a strong foundation in community development principles and practices, with experience in policy development and voluntary involvement in overseas action programs. Elly is passionate about equitable and sustainable approaches to global development.

Elly holds a double degree in International Development and Environmental Policy and Management, and currently works for a global development organisation as a Graduate – Markets, Clients and Strategy. She brings a strong foundation in community development principles and practices, with experience in policy development and voluntary involvement in overseas action programs. Elly is passionate about equitable and sustainable approaches to global development.

As Business Manager and Partner at Paul Munns Instant Lawns, Stefan has played a key role in the company’s growth, overseeing a threefold increase in revenue over the past 25 years. With a diploma in Environmental Management and a solid foundation in business, Stefan brings a strategic, big-picture mindset to his work. He is known for his clear thinking and ability to set and drive toward long-term goals, and is dedicated to aligning business success with meaningful outcomes.

As Business Manager and Partner at Paul Munns Instant Lawns, Stefan has played a key role in the company’s growth, overseeing a threefold increase in revenue over the past 25 years. With a diploma in Environmental Management and a solid foundation in business, Stefan brings a strategic, big-picture mindset to his work. He is known for his clear thinking and ability to set and drive toward long-term goals, and is dedicated to aligning business success with meaningful outcomes.

Don is the Principal of an independent Christian school in Adelaide and brings a wealth of leadership and governance experience to the role. He has served on the Independent Schools Council of Australia, the Association of Independent Schools SA Board, the Non-Government Schools Advisory Committee, and as Chair of the South Australian Anglican Schools System. Don’s leadership is grounded in a deep commitment to educational excellence and faith-based values.

Don Grimmett

Deputy Chair

Don is the Principal of an independent Christian school in Adelaide and brings a wealth of leadership and governance experience to the role. She has an academic background in Complementary Medicine and is passionate about global health and wellbeing. Mel actively supports initiatives that strengthen family and community connections, including her involvement with The Table Talk Project, a social enterprise focused on developing meaningful communication within families.

Admin Manager / Secretary

Mel brings a wealth of experience in administration, currently serving as Administration Manager of 1000 Voices. She has an academic background in Complementary Medicine and is passionate about global health and wellbeing. Mel actively supports initiatives that strengthen family and community connections, including her involvement with The Table Talk Project, a social enterprise focused on developing meaningful communication within families.

Maddie holds a degree in International Development and works in the sector as the Coordinator of Mobility for the New Colombo Plan. She has hands-on experience volunteering with international development programs and contributing to sustainable futures planning. Maddie brings a strong passion for community-led change and is deeply committed to advancing sustainable development through meaningful partnerships and inclusive, long-term solutions.
